L3C At AI Expo

An excellent and interesting day at AI Expo, discussing L3C AI Cloud to a full audience based on IBM Power9 technology.

Some of the key observations from our discussion are highlighted in our blog

L3C at the GDPR IT Leaders Forum in Manchester

L3C were recently invited to showcase our services at a GDPR IT Leaders Forum in Manchester, sponsored by IBM. During a very interesting set of presentations by the guest speakers it became clear that many of the audience had concerns around mobile devices and mobile apps including the separation of personal and corporate data. The question of legacy ERP systems and applications also arose and how local cloud service providers could assist in re-architecting environments, helping to clarify access rights, ensuring patching and security regimes are implemented or even ‘fencing-off’ legacy environments in a hosted environment while they are eventually sunset.

Jerry Crossfield and Ian Dennis of L3C were able to discuss with many of the attendees how L3C Enterprise Mobility Management service based around IBM’s MaaS360 solution could address the concerns around mobile device and application management. While our specialisation in hosting AIX and Unix based applications combined with our DBA skills around Oracle and Progress struck a chord with many of the IT Leaders concerned about effectively managing heritage solutions.

See how we migrated a client’s critical AIX applications to our Cloud environment to optimise cost and reliability and linked to their AWS applications to form a hybrid solution.

Discover a new world of cloud and scale out solutions

The phase change to cloud and scale out solutions is unstoppable. Conventional approaches to large complex projects do not deliver the necessary Amazon or Google like efficiencies and are becoming expensive failures.

A completely new mindset, approach and toolset is required to successfully support this phase change. This must include extraordinary levels of automation, access to a reusable ecosystem of pre-integrated solutions and components and must deliver previously unattainable efficiency and cost savings. Canonical is successfully addressing these needs in a unique way securing major client wins in all market sectors including Media, Retail, Finance and others. As an example, in the last two years Canonical successfully entered the cloudification agenda in the Telco sector securing major projects in Deutsche Telekom, AT&T, NTT, Bell Canada, Tele2 and many others.

Canonical is the company behind Ubuntu, the most powerful Linux operating system of choice for private and public cloud and scale out applications. Canonical and IBM recently made Unbuntu available on IBM mainframes and L3C finds that the combination of LinuxONE and Ubuntu deliver a powerful cloud environment for developers, enterprises and service providers to deploy next generation applications in a scalable, secure and high performing environment.

The collaboration between Canonical & L3C on Ubuntu, IBM z and Power systems will allow existing and new customers to provide the best cloud and scaling environment making the experience of Ubuntu on Mainframes and Power systems even more reliable and secure.

In this exclusive event Chris Kenyon, Vice President of Canonical and Lubo Cheytanov, founder of L3C will share their experiences and approaches that have secured major recent customer wins and technology partnerships, such as IBM and will explain how you can profit from this new approach. In return you will be able to share from your unique perspective, how CSIs are addressing the next generation cloud transformation challenges.

If you want your business to produce high value cloud transformation and find out more about how the majority SaaS companies including Netflix and Uber is benefiting from Ubuntu then register now by sending an email to
